Restoring a Vandalised Shutter — Veintiocho Vintage Clothing

Shutters and shopfronts

A façade restoration for Veintiocho Vintage in Madrid, replacing unwanted tags with a black background and a fresh, hand-painted interpretation of the brand.

Get in touch

Unwanted graffiti is a familiar problem for street-level businesses in Madrid. At Veintiocho Vintage, tags had covered an earlier painted logo and weakened the shop’s visual identity.

The client asked us to restore the façade and give it a fresh design that respected the brand’s character while adding an artistic touch.

From a damaged shutter to a renewed identity

  • A clean black base: High-coverage black paint concealed the old marks and removed visual clutter, creating an elegant, high-contrast foundation.
  • A reworked identity: Rather than simply repainting the old logo, we used yellow lettering, thick black outlines, stars, hearts and drips to connect with the shop’s vintage and streetwear aesthetic.

A clear, confident shopfront

  • Readability: Yellow against black makes “Veintiocho Vintage Clothing” and “Madrid Showroom” easy to read from a distance.
  • A cared-for appearance: A professionally painted façade communicates attention and pride in the business, instead of neglect.
The shutter was damaged and visually cluttered. We restored the entire black background and redesigned the logo with a fresh urban feel that matches the clothes inside.

We restore damaged façades so unwanted tags do not define a business’s first impression. Has your shutter been vandalised? Contact us about restoring it.
