Streetwear and graffiti share the same DNA: the street. When Pikermans Store, an urban fashion destination in the Rivas Centro shopping centre, contacted us, we knew the space needed more than a neat decorative treatment. It called for attitude.
Complete trust was key to this project. They gave us free rein, allowing us to move away from conventional commercial murals and embrace a raw, direct, authentic aesthetic.
Raw style: the power of black and white
We removed colour to focus on form and gesture. The intervention rested on two foundations:
- An all-over composition: we filled the wall with tags, quick signatures, pop imagery such as smileys, and throw-up lettering. This organised chaos evokes a street wall with years of history, where layers of graffiti overlap.
- A monochrome palette: working only in greys, black and white creates an edgy elegance. It lets the shop's often colourful clothes stand out without competing with the background, striking the right balance for retail.
More than a wall: a statement of intent
The mural is no longer a passive feature; it takes centre stage in the interior:
- A rebellious atmosphere: customers entering Pikermans immediately feel its connection to urban culture. The mural reinforces the authenticity of the clothing.
- A focal point: it has become the shop's natural photo backdrop, where customers — and even their pets — pose for pictures, increasing the brand's visibility on social media.
At Dale Color, we understand urban brands because we come from the same place. If you want your shop walls to express attitude, we are your studio.
